Boyfriends se refiere a unos jeans que por quedar holgados parece que estuvieras usando los de tu novio. Si estan rotos y desgastados mejor. En los 80's también tuve unos jejejeje.
Como los use para el cierre de la 1era Edición de FOTOPOSE Venezuela había que darle un poco de formalidad y lo hice con la blusa de chiffon animal print gris/negro de mi autoría y accesorios negros. Que si son cómodos los boyfriends? No se imaginan cuanto.

First time I read that expression on fashion blogs, I must confess that the foreign term "boyfriends" didn't make much sense to me whatsoever, but know I reckon that there's no better way to describe this branch of fashion.
Boyfriends is known as using oversized clothes, thus looking like you were using your boyfriend's clothes. The most commonly used attire in this branch of fashion where the jeans, usually oversized, washed and maybe even torn a but on the knee area. I had one of those in the 80's.
I used them for the closure of the 1st PhotoPose Venezuela, and as some formality was needed, I combined them with a gray/black colored animal-print chiffon blouse made by myself and black accessories. And boyfriend jeans are quite comfortable, too.
